# Gatwick Removes 2 Litre Liquid Limit

August 7, 2025

Gatwick have quietly removed their 2 litre liquid limit. The change hasn't been updated on signage or the website, but it's in effect.

## What Changed

Previously, Gatwick allowed liquids up to 2 litres through their new CT scanners. Now, there appears to be no limit at all—you can bring full-size bottles through security.

## My Experience

I went through North Terminal security with: - 1L water bottle (full) - 500ml shampoo - Various toiletries

Everything went through without issue. No questions asked.

## Official Response

I reached out to Gatwick's Press Office for comment. They confirmed the scanners can now process larger liquids but wouldn't commit to a specific limit.

## What This Means

- No need to buy overpriced water after security
- Pack full-size toiletries in carry-on
- Still recommend checking before flying

## Other Airports

Heathrow and other UK airports are rolling out similar technology, but policies vary. Always check the specific airport's current rules before traveling.
